Ho un visa ora!

This Should Be My Life
I don't know if it's ALWAYS sunny in Philadelphia, but it definitely is today. Which is totally great, because no one likes to go out of town to get their visa while it's raining. It's strictly a sunny day thing. So here's to my first foreign correspondent assignment. Yes, I assigned myself a special title. Not only am I chief author, editor, and graphic designer, but I'm also now foreign correspondent. Philly is a strange place. Lots of stragneiri. So I think the new title is fitting.

This morning I woke up at 5:30 (it was sunny at that point in case anyone was wondering), and dragged myself to Penn Station (in NYC). For some reason, my body thought it would be a great idea to be completely awake, so I couldn't sleep during the 2 hour bus ride. I kept dozing on and off, but never for longer than 10 minutes. But this isn't the part that you care about... So let's talk about that:

I got my visa oggi (today), and the lady was really nice. She asked which school I was studying
with. When I told her NYU, she was like "Oh, OK. They always have all the right stuff. I trust you. They do a really good job." And I wanted to say, "Well good. I'm glad they're doing something right with all the money they're taking from me." Although, to be fair they did give me some scholarship. BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT! The point is that I met a couple other students in line who are going to be studying in Florence this fall as well. I really hope we end up partying like like it's MCMXCIX (that's 1999 for all you non-Roman-numeral-ers).
I hear the colosseum is crazy. Absolutely insane.

After getting myself some coffee at the Tuscan Café (fitting, no?) so that I could use their bathroom, I wandered around Liberty Hall and such. I'm pretty sure that's what it's called, but I'm vague on the details. I was too busy not caring. It did feel like I was on the set of National Treasure. That's all that part of Philly does for me. I saw the Liberty Bell through a window, does that count? I mean, it's not all it's cracked up to be... hehe. Get it? Cracked up? I kill myself...

I wandered around and found a new belt, which I guess is exciting. Right now
I'm at this quaint little tea place. Typing. Using their wireless. I'm a fan. Here's a picture of nuns drinking tea. Love it. Forever. I'll take the nuns of Italy some wonderful tea. We can talk about how much we love penguins and wearing everything in greyscale.

  1. if we were everything in grayscale, we can be extras in twilight. or we can take r patz and k stew's place. let's be honest here. neither of them can act their way out of clear plastic bag, much less paper.
