I decided to go to Colony Music today to get sheet music. It was a huge toss up between John Mayer Continuum, India.Arie Testimony Vol. 1, or Adele 19. Clearly, thanks to the wonderful graphic to the left, you can see what my decision was. The best part? I can actually play stuff from it. I only thumbed through the book for about 30 minutes, so after some work it might actually sound good... or something. I'll let you know. If I get really good, I'll move on to one of the other books.
It's been a while since I've mentioned nuns. I feel that is necessary. Hopefully this should do nicely. Since today seems to be about the singing and the piano and such, this video seems only fitting. SALVE MARIA!
Welcome to the Ugly American. I am he. Surprising, no? You'd think with my notoriety there'd be several websites dedicated to my every move: social life, culinary tastes, breathing patterns. And you'd think I wouldn't have to write it either. False.
Since Kathy Griffin has already claimed the D-List, I'll claim my rightful spot on the U-List. U for ugly, in case you didn't pick up on that. I hope to touch upon the finer things, in hopes of becoming less "ugly" in the cultural sense. To that end, my New Years resolution for 2010 is to have standards: food standards, cultural standards, and of course romantic standards. So, maybe that will one day help me achieve my goal of making it to the M-List, for "moderately attractive."
Since coming back from Italy, I'm trying to find focus for this blog. It will continue to be a lifestyle commentary and guide, but if you have suggestions of topics - preferably in daily alliteration form (i.e. Wino Wednesdays) - let me know! You forget, I'm ugly. It takes me a little longer to catch on.
